You’ll find out there about the next steps we are planning!
Looking forward to Monday night’s meeting
Great meeting lots of positive energy, amazing reaction to the tidy town plan. Thankyou
I attended the Local Heroes meeting last night! There was a fantastic turnout! Congratulations to the organisers and all the contributors. What struck me was the pride that exists in Limerick. If we can harness the pride, co-ordinate the talent, set realistic goals and timelines, we can make a difference to the life in Limerick in a very short period of time. We need to re-claim the ‘COMMUNITY OF LIMERICK CITY’.
Congratulations on your meeting last night it was fantastic to see so much support and pride for the city. It was terrific to feel the positive energy in the hall and if even a portion of that energy (and I presume it will be closer to 100%) can be put to work changes will be evident in a short space of time. There is a lot of work ahead of you (and more particularly us ordinary folk) for your success. I and the group with which I am involved are looking forward to the next meeting and may it be another huge success at Thomond Park.
I attended the meeting on Monday night. Well done to the organisers and those who spoke up. There was tremendous positive energy on display. I can’t wait for the ideas session next week.
This is a fantastic initiative. I’m sure that the people of Limerick will row in behind it, if Monday’s meeting was anything to go by.
This is how we get out of this recession, working together and rebuilding our city’s pride. From pride builds economies. We have the greatest sporting complex in Ireland at our door step, we have some of the countries most influential people located in our universities and colleges and we need to harness this positive energy and draw from it our great city’s future.
We have a community that when it puts its mind together can achieve anything they want.
We will never be in direct competition with Galway/Cork due to their strategic tourist locations. But we should be harnessing our river and our two fantastic stadiums for the sporting entertainments industry.
