Our Hub
Our hub in Arthur’s Quay is the centre of activity for the Limerick Local Heroes. It was designed, built and fitted-out almost entirely voluntarily and has since acted as a meeting place and activity centre for the initiative.
It is located on the first floor of Arthur’s Quay Shopping Centre. Inside you will find our fourpillars; Retail, Tourism, the 3E’s and Community. These display all of the ideas that are currentlybeing worked on. It also has a several offices and a board room.
Our boardroom
Since its opening the various people involved have used the hub for meetings and recruiting new volunteers who express interest in their city. The hub was officially opened in June and the launch was filmed by Animo TV productions inpreparation for the second series of the RTE television show and also by local film company Red PawMedia.
The hub was officially opened by 9 year-old Odhran Reidy who was the youngest Limerick citizen to give an idea at our Thomond Park Ideas Summit.
Our offices are open Mondays-Fridays between 9am and 5:30pm. Since the office opened we have been welcoming many people wanting to offer their with ideas and have also signed up to volunteer with the organisation.
Meeting Room
It is great to see so many local people interested in actively supporting their city. People from any walk of Limerick life are encouraged to come in and have a chat, sign up and see what they can do to get the city back on its feet.
